United Auto Workers - Local 1950 Scholarship

Origin: Established in 1979 by the United Auto Workers, Local 1950, Clerical/Technical Employees at Northern Michigan University.
Eligibility:  The parent (or legal guardian) of an applicant must be a member or retiree in good standing of UAW Local 1950.   The individual must be attending an accredited college or university at the time the award isissued.

Preference will be given to graduating students. Two (2) candidates will be selected from 4-year programs and two (2) candidates will be selected from 1- or 2-year programs.

The Education Committee of UAW Local 1950 will select the qualified candidates.

Award: Four (4) - $250 scholarships per semester during the fall and winter semesters only.
$2,000 per year. 
The scholarship is non-renewable.
Number: Eight per year.

Forms must be received no later than April 15th to be considered for the fall semester (or 1st term) or November 15 to be considered for the winter semester (or 2nd term).
